Mayor Echevarria joined several Cavite mayors in supporting the sanitary landfill project in Ternate, proposed as a province-wide solution for waste management. Context: Cavite local governments were exploring long-term solutions to the province’s growing solid waste problem in compliance with the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003). Execution: During a project presentation and consultation meeting in Silang, Cavite, Echevarria and other mayors expressed support for the provincial initiative. Impact: - Strengthened local government backing for a centralized waste management solution - Contributed to discussions on environmental compliance and waste disposal planning in Cavite.
