Walter D Echevarria Jr.

Walter D. Echevarria Jr. served multiple terms as municipal mayor of General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite, and was one of the longest-serving local executives in the municipality. Prior to becoming mayor, he held several local government positions, including barangay secretary, municipal councilor, and vice mayor. His administration oversaw municipal governance during a period of population growth in the rapidly urbanizing Cavite corridor. In August 2021, he resigned from office citing health concerns, and leadership of the municipality was transferred to then Vice Mayor Maricel Echevarria Torres.
