He comes from a family deeply involved in local governance; he is the son of incumbent Zambales Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., and his brother, Jun Rundstedt Ebdane, has also served in key provincial posts, including as a provincial board member. Before his mayoral tenure, Ebdane briefly served in the House of Representatives. In 2011, he won a special election to serve as the Congressman for the 2nd District of Zambales, completing the term until 2013. Following his time in Congress, he continued his work in public service by taking on the role of provincial administrator for Zambales. Mayoral Tenure in Botolan Ebdane first ran for Mayor of Botolan in the 2022 elections, succeeding former Mayor Doris Maniquiz. He was subsequently re-elected to the position in the May 2025 local elections. As chief executive, his administration has focused on improving the accessibility of civic services and pursuing development initiatives that reach across Botolan—from the town proper to individual communities like Barangay Panan.
